The theme I chose to install was Deejay. I chose it because it is a musical theme good for a music themed website. It also comes with its own background image and unlike many free themes is not a free version of another and therefore doesn’t contain branding throughout. The only branding is in the footer which can be removed. It is also relatively simplistic and provides a good base for me to build upon. I will build upon this theme using its recommended plugins “Events Manager, WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads and Jetpack” and some extras to provide a wholesome experience.
After finding the theme I downloaded it as a Zip file.
I then uploaded it into the add themes section of WordPress.
After it was uploaded I activated it.
My website now looks like this with the Deejay theme activated. Next implementing pages.
